In Your Kitchen

An auto worker in Italy bought two paintings at an auction in 1975, for $25.  They hung in his kitchen for years.  The man’s son recently decided to sell the paintings and after circling photos of the paintings it was revealed the two paintings were from famed French Masters, Paul Gauguin and Pierre Bonnard.  Turns out the paintings were stolen from a British couple in 1970.  The couple died without heirs and the Italian family says they were unaware the pieces were stolen before being put up at auction.   Authorities are now deciding who the paintings belong to.  The masterpieces are worth $50 million.
