A multimedia event exploring war through visual images, poems and movement, developed in the “urban studio” that is Chicago.

My collaborators Scottie Kersta-Wilson (visual artist), Ginger Jensen (dancer), Cat Miller (dancer), Shira Tan (documentarian), and I (writer) will be performing. We will project Scottie’s images onto a big screen in one of the museum galleries while I read accompanying text. Ginger and Cat will dance to some of the images. Shira will provide assistance where needed.

Saturday, October 10th
3:00 to 4:00 pm
National Veterans Art Museum (NVAM), 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, on the 2nd floor

We will have a talk-back session about our creative process from 2:30 to 3:00.

From 1:00 until about 2:30 we will be working with NVAM on their monthly creative community workshop.

All 3 events are free and open to the public.
