Antarctica

Travelogue on Jeanne’s adventures as a 57-year-old contract worker for the National Science Foundation, living at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. She has published a book about her experiences, Surreal: Reflections on Ice. According to Chicago librarian Donna: “…Ms. Roppolo shows us that living life to the fullest can begin at any age.”

Northern Asia

Jeanne was a blogger for Road Scholar on a Trans-Siberian Rail journey–5,000 miles across Asia. This travelogue focuses on the cold and isolated highlands, lowlands, and steppes of Northern Asia, which formerly served as home to Russian and Soviet criminals and political exiles.
