Iris Y. Martinez, Illinois State Senator: I am proud to be supporting Around the Corner because the arts are so important in our schools and to the people throughout my district. Senator Martinez has represented the 20th district since 2003. She is the first Latina woman to be elected to the Illinois State Senate. Truly a Chicagoan, she was born and raised in the West Town neighborhood and currently lives in the Albany Park neighborhood.
