Northwest Side Musicians Make A Joyful Noise

Meet the Winter Wonderland Performers


The NW Side of Chicago is home to many talented performers and artists. This Saturday, November 26, we are blessed to welcome a handful of very talented musicians as we kick off this holiday season with the 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland celebration.

Marianne and the Imaginary Band

Marianne and the Imaginary Band is a Chicago-based band performing an eclectic mix of folk and pop originals and covers, gypsy jazz, and klezmer. They are often found performing at City News Café. Members include Marianne Bossert, Lorraine Runge, and Brian Armknecht.

Irving Park Methodist Church

Irving Park United Methodist Church Pastor Katherine

Katherine Thomas Paisley is Lead Pastor at the Irving Park United Methodist Church. She loves music and drama and appreciates art and storytelling.

Irving Park United Methodist Church Johnathan Baum

Jonathan Braun is the Minister of Music and Worship Arts at the Irving Park United Methodist Church. He is a graduate of DePaul University’s School of Music in Music Education and currently teaches music with the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools.

Mark Piekarz

Mark Piekarz is a classical tenor and pianist with an interest in Polish music, Irish music, and other folk/cultural music. He has sung with Wicker Park Choral Singers, Coriolis, Bella Voce, New Classic Singers, and University of Illinois Concert Choir.


Dale Tippett Jr

Dale Tippett Jr is a Chicago native, father, music director for Irving Park Baptist Church and Holy Cross Lutheran and podcaster. He is a veteran performer of many styles of music. His solo projects feature his original material, ranging from bluesy rock to prog-goth metal. Currently, he is preparing to launch a new podcast aimed to support aspiring songwriters. Belding Elementary Girl Scouts

Irving Park’s Belding Elementary Junior Girl Scouts will be kicking off their holiday season by joining Dale Tippett Jr for some holiday classic caroling. We invite you to bundle up and sing-a-long then join them inside for a meet and greet with Santa and some hot cocoa.

Stann Champion
For his more than 35 years of contributions to the music industry and community, Chicago’s own Stann Champion was honored with a “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the 35th Anniversary Chicago Music Awards (CMA), 2016. The award recognizes the guitarist/vocalist for his many personal, professional, and musical accomplishments. 


Come out and enjoy the creative works from our community while supporting our local small businesses! Your whole family will enjoy live music, face painting, storytelling, hot cocoa, roasted marshmallows, homemade truffles, visit with Ms. Santa, caroling… and more!
