In Our Own Eyes: Women’s Self-Portraits over Time
on display through December 30th in the 2nd floor gallery

Artists include: Marisa Boyd; Sally Fama Cochrane; Magdalene Gorecki; Antonia Ruppert; Sara Peak Convery; Penelope Thrasher; Cara Therrio; Beverly Alice Nash; and Gladys Becker

They show portraits of themselves at various points in time, so the viewer sees the changes they have experienced. Comments include “mesmerizing,” “excellent art,” and “good show, ladies, a treat for the eyes from end to end.”

Have a story to tell? Unleash your inner author and have some book writing fun. Everyone will receive a blank book and will be provided with supplies to create whatever story they’d like to tell. This program is being conducted as part of ChiChiBoWriMo – Chicago Children’s Book Writing Month.
