Thursday, August 24th the Moods + Foods performance series presents Abud: A Bard! We’re excited to hear his unique style.

We hear that James Abud “is a multi-instrumentalist who writes and performs upbeat acoustic music. He started playing doumbek at three years old, and was performing traditional Arabic music alongside his family by five. Today he’s ‘dedicated to acoustic music made in real time by human hands and feet.’ Abud plays a cajon with one foot and a tambourine with the other, leaving his hands free to play whatever other instrument the song demands. His guitar playing is percussive and fluid.
