Things couldn’t get worse for poor James Henry Trotter. Due to a freak rhinoceros accident in the marketplace that left him orphaned, James has been forced to live as a servant for his two cruel aunties, Sponge and Spiker. But when a mysterious man appears with the ingredients to make all James’s wishes comes true, James finds himself inside the pit of a giant peach with an unexpected group of insect friends and a great adventure ahead!
The sculpture was part of the City of Chicago’s “Cows on Parade,” which ran from June-October, 1999. It showcased over 300 different fiberglass cows embellished by some of Chicago’s top artists, including William Conger, Mr. Imagination, Carlos “Dzine” Rolón, Stanley Tigerman and Karl Wirsum.
