The Moods + Foods Performance Series at Woodard Plaza will be kicked off by PlayLab Productions!
July 27, 2017, 6 PM – 7:30 PM
PlayLab Productions is an entertainment group which produces shows and events to get adults and kids to play together and create community. They know how to connect with people and make them smile.
OccuPLAY is a series of street show/interactive events throughout Chicago; the performers go in and occupy a space and play. They will transform Woodard Plaza into a dance party with an LED hula hoop artist (McCystalizor), LED gloves artist (Rebecca Duxler) and MANGO, a costumed character. Other artists may join in as well–we shall see!
DJ Rojáz’s music will get us all dancing.
The local food stop we’re highlighting this week is Vidalia, a new pop-up sub shop inside Crown Liquors, right off the plaza. Vidalia serves everything from house-made pastrami sandwiches to bacon mashed potato salad. Check it out! While you’re at it, you can sit outside at Crown, have a drink, and watch the performance.
